What a new retailer should know
The binder and most of the filler are grown in Mozambique’s Manica province, the wrapper is Cameroon leaf, and the boxes are aged in cedar cut in Ghana. Very few brands in the U.S. market can say the same, and that gives you a story to tell before a customer lights up.
Bongani has contracted exclusively with a Florida-based distribution partner that specializes in logistics for boutique cigar brands, handling importing, inventory, invoicing, and order fulfillment. That’s established back-office infrastructure behind the brand, not a founder shipping boxes out of a garage.
Bongani runs in small, deliberate batches rather than deep inventory. A shop carrying it may sell through a run faster than a legacy brand would, which is the tradeoff that comes with an early, limited supply chain.
